Sinfonian Dimensions in Jazz
2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the Sinfonian Dimensions in Jazz Concerts, originally called "Jazz at the Commons." This year, the Thursday concert will take place at 7:30pm in Bengtson Auditorium (Russell Hall) and the Friday concert (+ alumni celebration) will take place at 7:30pm in the Great Hall at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center.
During intermission (at approximately 8:15pm), the Tallcorn Jazz Festival Awards Ceremony will be held. The Thursday concert will feature a short set from UNI Jazz Band Two, followed by UNI Jazz Band One with SDIJ Guest Artist Matt Wilson. The Friday concert will feature short performances from two UNI Alumni Jazz Ensembles, and UNI Jazz Band One with Matt Wilson.
The concerts may sell out, so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
